Team Lead, Supplier Quality Assurance

As Team Leader, Supplier Quality Assurance, you will be responsible for ensuring that the various supplier quality assurance processes are carried out and adhered to within the company.
**TEMPORARY 1 YEAR WITH POSSIBILITY OF PERMANENCY**
**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the supplier quality assurance team;
- Maintain and optimize supplier quality management processes;
- Evaluate, approve and select suppliers in collaboration with procurement and engineering teams;
- Actively participate in engineering project planning meetings (new products or changes to existing products), in conjunction with the purchasing team, to anticipate potential risks and future procurement needs;
- Plan and coordinate technical design reviews with engineering teams and suppliers for new products, supplier changes or engineering changes;
- Plan and carry out regular supplier audits and analyze results to identify opportunities for improvement;
- Manage and document supplier inspection certification;
- Participate in determining component inspection and qualification requirements;
- Initiate and ensure completion of Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs): support suppliers in identifying causes and selecting corrective actions, monitor implementation of corrective actions and verify effectiveness;
- Participate in the non-conformance management process (NCR), notably by reviewing non-conformance reports and selecting and implementing corrective actions when necessary;
- Ensure proactive and effective collaboration with suppliers to improve quality levels.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (or related field);
- Minimum 5 to 10 years' experience in a similar position, including 3 years' experience supervising a team;
- Technical knowledge enabling a good understanding of technical drawings for castings, machined parts, electronics, etc;
- Knowledge of sampling methods and control plans;
- Knowledge of statistics, in particular methods for defining process capability (Cpk, Ppk), control charts and repeatability and reproducibility analyses (gauge R&R);
- Bilingual (French/English);
- Available for supplier visits (between 5 and 10%) (CAN/US);
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
