Reporting to the Director of People Experience and Organizational Development, the **Manager of Organizational Development Consulting & Special Projects** is part of a management team that has responsibility for leading, developing, and elevating the City’s People Experience/Organizational Development (OD) function, ensuring the effective integration of OD programs and initiatives within the larger People & Equity Division.

This role is critical in our journey to foster and develop our internal OD consulting practice to support our senior leaders and other key stakeholders.
A priority focus will be on workplace interventions involving change management, development, organizational design, group process facilitation, culture, and team effectiveness.
**You will also be responsible for delivering on the following**:
- Develop OD strategies and interventions to support the City’s and its Divisions.
- Applies OD best practices to elevate organizational, team and individual performance.
- Facilitates team development changes in group norms, values, and culture. Identifies and applies appropriate tools to analyze individual and group behaviour, partnering with clients to identify possibilities for improvement.
- Develop strong relationships with senior divisional leaders and HR partners to enable more effective consultation to uncover issues and design solutions aimed at improving operational effectiveness.
- Support clients with the optimization of their organizational health and effectiveness by identifying connections across various teams and divisions that may benefit from broader enterprise-wide OD interventions.
- Enable divisions to adopt and execute on effective change management practices by designing customized change management strategies for divisions where significant change efforts are required to obtain their business objectives more effectively.
- Work with other HR managers to help enhance other OD related programs at the City including but not limited to performance management, enhancing teamwork across divisions, leadership development, employee engagement, workforce retention, promotion and succession planning and other talent-based programs across the organization.
- Work closely with the HR Business Partners in the Relationship Management Unit to determine opportunities to support clients with OD interventions.
- Drive the implementation of the City’s Employee Value Proposition (EVP), including its values and behaviours and be an advocate for the overall focus and brand of the City as it relates to EVP.
- Liaise and maintain strong partnerships with external professionals and vendors required to support organizational development initiatives.
- You will partner with other members on the People Experience and OD management team in support of leadership, engagement, and talent management priorities.
- Maintain accountability and oversight for special projects, including vendor management and procurement, as well as an enhanced focus on learning and development, in partnership with the Manager, LMS.
