As our Donor Relations and Development Officer, you will play a central role in shaping our fundraising strategy and fostering meaningful relationships with our valued donors, volunteers, and partners. You will be the driving force behind securing crucial financial support for our parishes, community ministries, and priority initiatives, tapping into a wealth of prospects and opportunities.

**Your Role**

**Your Tasks will include**:

- Drive donations and fundraising to meet or exceed established targets, managing a portfolio of major donors, volunteers, and community partners.
- Develop and implement integrated donor cultivation and stewardship strategies.
- Utilize Raiser’s Edge CRM for managing all donor data and processing charitable donations.
- Monitor and record online donations from platforms like IATS and CanadaHelps, providing finance department with batch reports for reconciliation.
- Build a prospective donor pipeline and support strategic priorities and initiatives.
- Provide effective, ongoing communications with major donors to ensure long-term commitment.
- Collaborate with other teams to assist with the strategic development and execution of cultivation and stewardship events and communications initiatives.
- Maintain the accuracy of all active donor files and records.
- Contribute to the definition of a donor-centric journey and enhance donor relations management.
- Conduct research and create custom proposals and reports to showcase the impact of donor support.
- Understand and translate donor needs and interests into multi-channel content.
- Analyze donor interests and demographics to build meaningful engagement and impact reports.
- Coordinate and build an integrated process for timely, accurate, and up-to-date issuing of personalized donor thank you materials and recognition.
- Design and evaluate donor feedback through surveys and analysis.
- Engage proactively in internal meetings and collaborate with community partners and volunteers.
- Prepare and issue tax receipts.
- Prepare reconciliations between RaisersEdge and accounting records with assistance from our Finance Department.
- Work with stakeholders within our Diocese and collaborate in the design of periodic and adhoc reporting on Donations.
- Execute sales campaigns and initiatives to acquire new business relationships and coordinate sales transactions with regular reporting.

**Your Skills & Qualifications**
- University degree in Business, Non-Profit Management or a similar area, or a combination of relevant experience and education.
- Strong administrative, planning, and reporting skills with careful attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Effective English language written, verbal, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Raiser’s Edge, or other fund development management CRM software to manage data to analyze and generate reports and proposals
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Office and an ability to undertake administrative responsibilities.
- Experience in Advertising or Marketing is an asset.
