**JOB OVERVIEW: ADMINISTRATIVE COORDINATOR**

The Administrative Coordinator, Teaching & Learning is responsible for coordinating the activities of the Associate Vice President, Teaching and Learning’s Office and related portfolios. The position performs a variety of administrative duties in support of the Associate Vice President, Teaching & Learning strategic plan and operations, using a comprehensive knowledge of the office and departmental goals/standards, and institutional policies and procedures. The incumbent plans, analyzes, and interprets complex divisional issues (i.e. Departmental activities, initiatives and scheduling, researches options, recommends, creates and implements solutions.)

**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**
- Five years’ related administration experience.
- Two years’ leadership and supervisory experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Experience in a services environment and passion for supporting student learning and the overall student experience.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidential information, exercise discretion and strong judgment in handling sensitive information.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully plan and coordinate activities and projects and provide leadership and direction to team members.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to identify, develop and implement solutions to complex issues. Superior organizational skills with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks in an office environment with frequent interruptions and changing demands.
- Strives for continuous improvement and encourages the same in others. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with others to establish and implement best practices.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with university administration, faculty, staff and students.
- Ability to patiently and effectively communicate with a diverse range of people and situations, including the ability to diffuse tension in interactions with upset or angry people.
- Demonstrated analytical skills, including problem-solving and needs analysis.
- Demonstrated numerical and statistical competency, experience with budget development and monitoring.
- Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of secondary and post-secondary educational systems.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle is required.
