**Human Resources Advisor**

Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources, HR Advisors perform duties in collaboration with the Manager and as a member of the People & Culture team, assisting with the development and execution of corporate initiatives led by People & Culture.

The HR Advisor will be assigned to one of Pinchin’s regions, as we have offices coast-to-coast across Canada.

**A day in the life of an HR Advisor**:

- Uses knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices to develop, implement and modify HR policies, programs, and procedures
- Provides consistent advice and assistance to employees and managers on HR policies, programs, and procedures
- Resolves employee conflicts or issues in a timely and appropriate manner, escalating to the HR Manager when appropriate
- Works directly with managers on employee performance management including annual performance reviews, development plans, disciplinary letters, and performance improvement plans as well as staffing plans and employee development initiatives
- Facilitates proper employee documentation and accurate records in HRIS system (ADP)
- Compiles reports to analyze data for key HR metrics and related projects
- Supports the HR Manager in developing and implementing talent management programs and special projects
- Conducts investigations relating to HR policy including health & safety and other workplace incidents
- Facilitates employee offboarding, including performing exit interviews, and terminations, preparing separation documents, and managing departure logistics/administration with Finance and IT

**What you bring to the team**:

- A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, a CHRP/CPHR designation (active) preferred or in progress
- Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in Human Resources operations and employee relations
- Motivated to work independently as well as on team projects and initiatives
- Experience working with an HRIS (preferably ADP)
- Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrated ability to exercise sound reasoning, judgment, and problem-solving skills
- Highly organized, creative, process-oriented, demonstrated leadership skills and strong interpersonal skills
- Experience in professional services or consulting is preferred
- Current and valid driver’s license with insurance, and access to a vehicle required (work-related travel will be compensated)
