What You’ll Do:
As a Business Development Manager, you will be a key member of the Onshore Renewables team. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will lead the sourcing of development opportunities from origination through to deal closing for wind, solar, and energy storage projects that fit with the regional strategy. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in a high-impact, highly visible role as we position ourselves for the new wave of global decarbonization.

Frequent regional travel will be required.

Key Responsibilities:

- Monitor and analyze market developments.
- Lead initial triage, due diligence, and negotiation of identified opportunities.
- Work closely with internal and external resources to complete technical, commercial, and financial due diligence.
- Lead project management activities for development projects, including: creating and tracking project plans and budgets; identifying project resource constraints and requirements; and identifying and managing any potential risks.
- Evaluate technical, operational, and logístical aspects of projects and liaise with internal and external experts to ensure thorough analysis and assessment of potential projects.
- Manage project progress towards task deadlines and identify critical path challenges.
- Develop and provide project status updates to relevant internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor and manage key policy developments that impact projects in select jurisdictions.

- Process-oriented: You are organized and thorough in providing structure to projects and experienced in connecting multiple stakeholders together with aligned interests.
- Diligent: You have solid attention to detail, and you follow up with others where needed to ensure outstanding information or projects are completed within the established deadlines.
- Strong communicator: You have exceptional oral and written communication skills and are able to articulate your message in a clear and concise manner.

Qualifications and Experience
- 5+ years of experience in corporate development within the energy or infrastructure sectors.
- Solid experience translating ideas and opportunities into PowerPoint presentations.
- Previous working experience with financial models.
- Strong project management skills and experience, with a broad understanding of planning, scheduling, progress reporting, and contract negotiations.
- Good understanding of onshore renewables, including markets, policy and regulations, EPC processes, and general project technology.
- Experience working across different geographies and an appreciation of a global mindset.
