In this key role, you will lead the strategic planning/design, implementation, promotion, evaluation and maintenance of projects and initiatives designed to strengthen professional practice and quality care. - Lead the strategic planning/design, implementation, promotion, evaluation and maintenance of various allied health practice issues, projects and initiatives including those related to professional standards, scope and regulation, transition of unregulated professions to regulated, patient safety priorities, orientation, resource planning, and research activities.
- Work in collaboration with Clinical Practice Leaders and Clinical Managers/Directors, provides leadership to and guides clinical teams to enhance their understanding of regulated and unregulated allied health standards, scope of practice, quality of practice initiatives, new technology integration or innovation programs.
- Develop and recommend, in conjunction with Clinical Managers/Directors, allied health and interprofessional care models that support best practices, regulations, improved patient/client access, efficient flow of patients/clients across the continuum of care
- Monitor practice trends, education/skill development needs, related to various allied health professions, identifies opportunities that promote innovation and partnership for improvement, and supports consistent delivery of quality care.
- Provide operational management including recruitment, retention and performance management of staff and budget accountability for the portfolio.
- Represent Professional Practice on regional, provincial, external agencies, committees and projects and fosters effective linkages

We would like you to have:

- Graduate of an approved clinical health profession with a Master's degree in that health profession, health administration, education, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- A minimum of 7 years of recent, related clinical experience inclusive of a minimum of 3 years of experience in education, clinical leadership and/or operational experience in a complex health care environment including progressive clinical practice, education, research, and project management and leadership experiences.
- Current practicing registration with a relevant allied health regulatory college and/or association in British Columbia.

Reporting to the Director, Professional Practice - Allied Health, the Leader, Allied Health Practice leads the strategic planning/design, implementation, promotion, evaluation and maintenance of projects and initiatives designed to support unregulated and regulated health profession practices including scope of practice and regulations, primary and community care redesign, transition of unregulated professions to regulated, patient safety priorities, orientation, resource planning, and research in order to enhance practice environments and effective and efficient quality care.
