Detailed Overview:

Leads and supervises a team of people in the implementation and preparation of acute care sites for electronic documentation. Coaches and mentors clinical teams and Health Informatics in building and implementing advanced clinical systems that support a quality interprofessional practice environment and excellence in clinical practice. Leads the clinical standardization and the Integrated Plan of Care initiative in order to improve user satisfaction and compliance.

**Responsibilities**:

- Leads and supervises a team of people that represent interprofessional clinical areas within hospital sites and various programs as Fraser Health works towards the implementation and preparation of sites for electronic documentation.
- Provides expert advice and problem solving for all clinical practice areas participating in the Integrated Plan of Care (IPoC) initiative. Ensures effective communication processes among stakeholders to ensure clinical policies and strategies are in accordance with the IPoC mandate and established discipline-specific acute care standards.
- Monitors practice trends, identifies opportunities that promote innovation and partnership for improvement, and supports the consistent delivery of quality care. Ensures that effective processes are in place to assess practice, clinical documentation and related work flow within all acute and allied health clinical teams.
- Participates in the development, implementation and evaluation of systems and processes to promote and optimize proper use of and electronic documentation, user satisfaction and compliance.
- Identifies risks to practitioners and/or Fraser Health associated with practice standards; plans corrective action as required and evaluates outcomes of the actions.
- Leads the implementation of change initiatives related to clinical standardization and IPoC; assesses impact and evaluates outcomes.
- Provides reports, updates and communications to senior leadership and executive sponsors.
- Provides operational management including recruitment, retention and performance management of staff and budget accountability for the portfolio.
- Represents Fraser Health and the IPoC initiative on regional, provincial and external agencies, committees and projects and fosters effective linkages with other organizations.

Qualifications:
**Education and Experience**

Masters Degree in nursing, education or a health care related field plus a minimum seven (7) years of recent related experience in a complex health care environment including progressive quality practice, education, project management and leadership experience. Current practicing registration with the relevant regulatory college or professional association in British Columbia.
