Reporting directly to the Vice President, Passenger Experience and Terminal Operations, the Director, Marketing, Communications & Loyalty is accountable for leading the development and implementation of a cohesive and integrated corporate-wide strategy and approach to brand and external communications. This role is critical in steering and innovatively leading complex and diverse marketing and communications departments dedicated to the day-to-day work of achieving the goals of their strategy. This role also has the responsibility of introducing and maintaining a renewed loyalty strategy and program.

Day in The Life
The Director, Marketing, Communications & Loyalty is accountable to the Vice President, Passenger Experience, and operates within the context and prescribed limits established by the VP and organization.
You might be wondering what you can expect on a typical day at work. Every day will bring new opportunities, focusing on key responsibilities, including:

- Designing and overseeing the delivery of an organization-wide marketing, communications, and loyalty strategy, ensuring clear understanding and alignment with YEG business goals and objectives.
- Overseeing effective and consistent marketing and communications to customers and team members that align with YEG’s brand voice and reflect the values of being collaborative, supportive, straightforward, and knowledgeable.
- Directing YEG’s internal and external narrative, including ensuring an organizational view to support corporate key messages and guide YEG’s brand story.
- Developing and directing the short
- and long-term strategic framework, goals and plans of the department.
- Providing recommendations and strategic advice to executives and directors on overall brand perception and responsible functions, including media/issues, social media, and marketing, communications, and loyalty.
- Continually seeking new opportunities and ways to enhance and transform marketing, communications and loyalty functions and processes at YEG.
- Stewarding YEG’s story and public dialogue through external communications while managing YEG’s reputation through strong media relations and issues management.
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with key media contacts; ensuring integration of proactive media relations with broader campaigns.
- Directing the development and delivery of an enhanced digital and social media strategy; ensuring effective measurements are in place to increase YEG’s presence and use of social and digital media; and ensuring alignment of social and digital content with broader campaigns.
- Direct the implementation of the Community Investment strategy.
- Develop and direct the loyalty program with a focus on driving non-aeronautical revenues and enhancing the passenger experience.
- Providing strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring to a team of dynamic marketing, communications and loyalty leaders and professionals.

**You Have**:

- Post-secondary or equivalent experience
- 5+ years performing at a management level.
- 10-15 years experience at a senior level, leading teams with varying functions in a large, complex organization or with a focus on communications, media relations, marketing, public relations, loyalty or related fields.
- Expertise in brand and marketing strategy.
- Experience in developing and influencing culture, instilling change, and influencing and providing recommendations on high-level business decisions.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to respond after hours to support the 24-hour operation as it relates to media relations and along with emergency operations.
- Must secure and maintain appropriate airport security clearance and acceptable criminal records check.
