**About the Position**

Reporting to the Machine Shop Manager, the Machining Supervisor will be responsible for HSE & Quality initiatives, customer service, coordination and effective scheduling of workers to meet production targets and quality standards. Responsibilities will include the training of staff in production methods, safety procedures and policies.

**Your Duties**
- Support the Machining and Inspection Operation Managers and assists in communicating company values, strategies and objectives while assessing operational efficiency
- Lead HSE initiatives and represents corporate HSE reputation
- Lead quality initiatives and ensures the Machine Shop team is delivering products and services that meet or exceed customer expectations
- Identify opportunities to effectively minimize Machine Shop costs and overtime
- Provide effective communication and direction to employees
- Provide excellent customer service and interaction in terms of professionalism, support in a timely manner and consistently exceeding customer expectations
- Assist in leading continuous improvement or organizational change
- Assist in ensuring safety, environmental and quality procedures and initiatives are in compliance and being followed by Machine Shop employees
- Assist with coordinating and executing formal monthly documented site inspections along with completing action items
- Maintain service reputation and customer satisfaction both internally and externally with proper and timely job execution
- Expedite incident reporting regarding safety and quality and participate in investigations and implementation of corrective actions

**Job Requirements**:

- Minimum 5 years Operations experience in a related field with demonstrated ability to motivate, train and mentor employees
- Journeyman Machinist Ticket is an asset
- API, 5CT, 5B, 5B1, Spec 71/2 knowledge are assets
- Ability to operate required manufacturing equipment effectively (CNC lathes, horizontal band saw, etc.)
- Ability to read manufacturer's drawings
- Strong mechanical skills
- Ability to build strong relationships within corporate departments, along with key business partners and customers
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to plan, organize, develop, implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures of the company
- Strong negotiation and prioritization skills
- Have excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team setting
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent is preferred
