- The VW Brand Controller is responsible for the full-cycle financial planning process within the Volkswagen Brand. The role is responsible for achieving volume and profit goals within predetermined budgets and securing agreed brand specific minimum return on sales in the market. The incumbent will support achieving a successful overall financial plan and will have a direct impact on company profitability. This role supports both the VW Brand Leadership team in addition to the Canadian and NAR Controlling team.

**This is a flex hybrid model, requiring 2 days in the Ajax office**

**Primary Responsibilities**:
- Responsible for financial planning and planning round process within the VW Brand-
- Manages overall Volkswagen Brand budgets supporting the VW Brand Leadership team and applies commitment control using check and balance procedures, four-eye-principles, and early warning processes.-
- Responsible for the aggregation, verification and analysis of vehicle margin, incentives and marketing spend. Information is condensed into single reporting for in-depth analysis and financial reporting and presentation to senior leadership.-
- Develop transparent and consistent forecasts, with monitoring of risks and opportunities with all stakeholders on an ongoing basis and provide recommendations around risk mitigation / opportunity utilization.-
- Financial evaluation of vehicle pricing function including analysis of pricing and contribution margins in conjunction with pricing proposals working with the Product planning team and the NAR finance team.-
- Responsible for the financial evaluation, analysis, control and planning support of the brand tactical budget for both retail sales programs and daily rental business and related management of financial provisions.-
- Develop, maintain continuity and operationalize the marketing budget process throughout the organization. Coordinate with all Marketing Areas to ensure that plans are being met in terms of strategic assumptions and spending optimization-
- Provides financial expertise to the VW Brand Leadership and Operational teams and supports to steer the business of the Volkswagen Brand in Canada.-
- Monitoring of internal controls related to vehicle inventory and distribution processes and related key metrics including inventory supply and aging.-
- Develops and implements financial input into the business review meetings for the Canadian strategy.-
- Develop, implement and monitor major Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).-
- Support Senior Management of VW Brand on strategy and operational projects.-
- Support accuracy of month end closing for margins, incentives, marketing and operational costs for the VW Brand.-
- Preparation of monthly brand revenue and cost analysis and variance reporting according to requirements of VGCA, VW AG and the North American Region (NAR).-
- Acts as liaise to NAR Finance and NAR Sales and Marketing (SMK) and Canadian captive finance arm on behalf of the VW Brand in Canada.-
- Lead, direct and develop VW Brand Controller towards achievement of critical targets and KPI’s in line with the Company’s strategy.**End Products (what does the role produce?)**:

- 5 + years of relevant automotive industry and captive finance knowledge.-
- Expert understanding of MS Office (particularly Excel and PowerPoint).-
- Communication skills -Written, oral and presentation to influence and negotiate; ability to clearly present complex topics to top management.-
- Analytical skills - Ability to dissect complex financial processes and identify risks and process improvements.-
- Ability to respond quickly to changing environment.-
- Team player that works well under tight deadlines.-
- Conflict management skills are critical.-
- Ability to work under high pressure and deliver high quality results.-
