- Review the Records Management System (RMS) data to ensure that records entered are accurate and consistent with established standards.
- Correct data error within the RMS by merging and unmerging records by performing name corrections and completing legal name changes.
- Communicate with policing partners (Canadian Border Services Agency and Alberta Vital Statistics) when issues appear between each agency’s respective database.
- Review compliance reports to identify any errors; errors are then communicated to the member responsible for entry in order to educate on proper procedures.
- Review documents and create/link entities within the RMS as required.
- Assisting the Information Auditor II and Team Leads with providing training in relation to proper use of the RMS. Training can include classroom teaching or walking members through written step by step instructions.
- Assisting in complete User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of any changes made to the RMS to ensure proper functionality as it relates to the position.
- Other duties as required.

**Qualifications**:

- Completion of the twelfth (12) grade is required.
- Completion of a certificate or diploma from an approved post-secondary school in the area of Business Administration, Police Studies, Records Management would be an asset.
- A minimum of two (2) years of office related experience in regard to entering, reviewing, or modifying information within a records management system.
- Experience with the Niche RMS software is required.
- Strong proven analytical skills with a high attention to detail.
- Experience in assisting with training sessions.
- High proficiency in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required.
- Ability to solve problems and make independent decisions.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and ensure all tasks are completed per work plan.
- Able to work independently, to exercise sound judgment, and to maintain effective working relationships.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision as well as in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills are required with a focus on providing customer service.

- As part of your pre-hire screening, you will be required to complete an Enhanced Security Clearance. Should you accept employment with the Edmonton Police Service you acknowledge and agree to participate in future Enhanced Security Re-Clearances at scheduled intervals or in any other circumstances, exigent or otherwise, as required by Human Resources Division.

**Hours of Work**:
Variable 10 hours shifts between 0600 to 2300, 7 days a week. (Remote work from home is not available).

**Salary Range**:
21B, Grade 007: $23.787- $29.534 (Hourly), $1,903.00 - $2,362.70 (Bi-Weekly), $49,667.26 - $61,666.99 (Annually). The rates quoted are in accordance with a collective agreement between the Union and the City of Edmonton.
