**Available Position: Parts Manager, Dartmouth Location**

MacKay’s Truck & Trailer Center is growing, and we are currently seeking a permanent full-time Parts Manager to join our team in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. MacKay’s is a well-established family-owned business with over 40 years experience operating full-line Truck, Trailer & Compact Equipment dealerships, with locations in Truro & Dartmouth, Nova Scotia as well as Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. We offer a fast paced, professional safe environment. MacKay’s provides employees with the most up to date manufacturers’ training and holds safety to the highest standards.

The Parts Manager is responsible for:

- Developing, communicating, managing and monitoring effective Parts Department processes
- Serving customers with timely & accurate information regarding accounts, and products they are looking to purchase
- Coaching, evaluating, and developing the parts team, while reviewing training opportunities and providing the team with opportunities for growth
- Maintaining an accurate and effective parts inventory control system that includes a perpetual and/or annual physical inventory and proper counter procedures
- Collaborate with sales and service teams to ensure seamless communication and support for customer requirements

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Minimum of 3 years’ supervisory experience
- 3 to 5 years of experience working in the trucking industry within a Parts Department
- Experience with motivating, training, appraising and general supervisory duties
- Good understanding of financial principles relative to Parts Department operations considered an asset
- Ability to analyze and interpret internal reports
