WEISHAUPT DESIGN GROUP is a portfolio of businesses dedicated to design, headquartered in Toronto, Canada. Born from a desire to connect, curate, and cultivate meaningful relationships between makers and design lovers. This includes retail operations, manufacturing, distribution, and art concept, all servicing the luxury residential and contract markets. Weishaupt Design Group is currently searching for a full-time Hospitality Manager for our Yellow Wood properties based out of Caledon, Ontario.
**Responsibilities**:
- Act as first point of contact for property; welcoming all visitors and anticipating their needs, ensuring that every guest feels welcome while always upholding the distinct culture of the property
- Ensure all spaces are presented and well maintained; tidying and other odd jobs (i.e. Watering house plants, organizing storage areas, taking out garbage, wiping surfaces, arranging flowers, putting things in their place, etc.)
- Participate in visitors’ experiences, through service and storytelling in partnership with owner and other WDG staff
- Manage visitor bookings; coordinating transportation as needed, send cards, gifts or further information post-visit
- Maintain records of client visits, preferences, wishes for future visits
- Manage and monitor household inventories and purchase supplies as needed
- Ensure equipment is in good working order, create a maintenance schedule, and prompt maintenance team as required
- Manage and oversee property event rentals including lead generation, negotiations, logistics (opening or closing of building, and set up and tear down) and front-line customer service to rental contacts
- Manage in-house kitchen and housekeeping teams; provide support as it relates to the owner’s use of the property, in addition to the guest experience
- On-site main point of contact for sub-contractors, repair people, deliveries etc.
- Work collaboratively with landscaping, maintenance, and security teams to ensure a seamless and pleasing client experience
- Support of technical installations: art, lighting, furniture, etc.
- Assist with special events and projects including owner’s on-site business events and internal staff event coordination
- Presenting a polished graciousness; build trusted relationships with internal and external teams
- Support security and safety of team members and visitors
- Property keyholder
- Additional duties as required
**Requirements**:
- Experience in a hospitality, service environment (8+ years)
- Experience working in a high net worth residence, nice to have
- A sense of humour, flexibility and sensitivity required to work with diverse personalities and situations
- Thoughtful, independent, and resourceful; curious and willing to learn new things
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; presents well, with the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of individuals at all levels
- Keen attention to detail with highest quality standards
- Time and resource management skills; ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic environment
- Confidence and intuitive problem-solving skills; Flexibility to think and act nimbly
- Demonstrated high personal performance standards
- Skilled in Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.
