Tax Department Administrative Assistant

**Description and responsibilities**:
We are seeking administrative support for the tax department within our firm. The various duties include the following:
- Keeping track of monthly deadlines and notifying Partners of outstanding files
- Prepare, edit and/or proofread documents using various software, including invoices, engagement letters, and various reports
- Respond to general client enquiries and prepare and co-ordinate client packages
- Assisting with Canada Revenue Agency’s request for client information and registering clients for various accounts with the Canada Revenue Agency
- Assistance with managing and updating our client data base and workflow
- Scan documents
- Other administrative duties as required by the tax department
**Requirements**:
- Minimum 2 years experience working in a professional office (e.g. accountant or lawyer’s office)
- Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office are necessary.
- Must be detail-oriented, organized and able to work independently
- Fluency in English, including written communication, is essential
- Experience with Taxprep, Caseware and iFirm software, while not required, would be preferred
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
