**JOB DESCRIPTION: Full Time Front Desk/Night Auditor**
**POSITION PURPOSE**
Attend to guests’ needs, including, but not limited to, registration, checkout, and cashiering.
Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position.
All employees are required to fully comply with hotel rules and regulations for the safe and effective operation of the hotel facilities.
**SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS SUMMARY**
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions:
- Attend to needs of our Guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Accommodate special requests when possible while adhering to hotel policies, procedures, and standards.
- Assist in preregistration and blocking of rooms for reservations.
- Obtain a strong understanding of room locations, room types, and room rates.
- Possess a working knowledge of the reservations department; be able to create reservations.
- Understand room status codes and room status tracking.
- Coordinate room status updates with the housekeeping department by notification of all checkouts, late checkouts, early check-ins, special requests, no show rooms, rooms with special service.
- Process guest check-ins and checkouts.
- Program new and duplicate guest room key cards.
- Detail oriented.
- Follow hotel procedures for issuing and closing safety deposit boxes used by guests.
- Use proper telephone etiquette while handling all incoming calls and in-house transfers.
- Use proper mail, package, and message handling procedures.
- Attend department meetings.
- Always maintain the cleanliness of the Front Desk area.
- Lightspeed and MGS experience is an asset.
**GROOMING**
All employees must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance as per hotel dress code standards, using the uniform provided by the hotel.
**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS**
Requires writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, hearing, visual acuity, and assisting guests, on occasion, with luggage, lifting to 50 pounds. Other physical activity required includes pushing/pulling, bending, reaching, and squatting.
