In addition to Regular Members (police officers), the RCMP hires public service employees and civilian employees to carry out crucial operational and administrative functions.

Your résumé.

A degree in related discipline from a recognized post-secondary institution or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience

Degree equivalency

Extensive experience in developing strategic and business communications plans and products
(Extensive is defined as having at least five years’ experience)

Experience in media relations - including acting as a spokesperson, preparing news releases, planning news conferences, responding to inquiries from reporters, etc.

Experience in providing communications advice and recommendations to clients, representatives and senior management.

Experience in supervising staff in the development or implementation of communications strategies and products.

Experience in managing communications programs/services - including developing communications standards, procedures and guidelines.
