HCA Dance + Theatre (HCADT)'s mission is to enrich the artistic and cultural landscape of Hamilton with high-quality professional performing arts presentations and through artistic development. Our vision is to cultivate a professional artistic environment for future generations in Hamilton and beyond.

HCADT was founded in partnership with the Hamilton Conservatory for the Arts (HCA) in 2001 as an incorporated non-profit organization. Now a professionally-focused charitable arm of the HCA organization, through our four flagship events HCADT features a wide variety of professional dance, music, theatre, and visual artists. These include Dusk Dances, the Performing Arts Sunday Series (PASS), and Children’s Arts Exploration: Field Trip days.

Marketing Associate Responsibilities:
Marketing Job Responsibilities:

- The Marketing Associate will work closely with HCADT staff to develop and implement specific marketing campaigns to support all HCADT activities
- Develop social media presence and promote HCADT events across HCADT social media channels with roughly 3-5 posts per week
- Update and maintain internal distribution and media lists
- Lead marketing and advertising efforts for Dusk Dances Hamilton (July 2023)

Marketing Associate Qualifications:

- 1-2 years of experience in online marketing and social media management
- Experience in managing and creating content for social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook)
- Excellent written communication skills (writing, editing and proofing), formal and informal writing samples required.
- Strong knowledge of all major social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, etc.) and experience in online marketing
- Excellent at prioritization and time management, and can work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Familiar with platforms including Meta Business Suite, Google Workspace, Mailchimp, Canva
- Highly effective communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills are required

Reporting to: Operations Manager

Type of Employment: Summer Contract (8 weeks, with a possibility of 8 weeks of extension)

Hours: 30 hours a week - In-person work as required, and remote work available.

Hourly Wage: $20.00/hr

This position is based in Hamilton. Working on-site when required.
