**Responsibilities**:
To provide administrative support to several cardiologists in the Division of Cardiology with respect to their clinical, research and administrative responsibilities at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute.
- While our employees work in offices within the University of Ottawa Heart Institute, they are employed by Ottawa Academic Cardiology Management Corporation._

**Basic requirements**:

- Diploma in Office Administration OR other combination of education and experience, along with demonstrated knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position
- Minimum 2 years of recent related administrative experience
- Advanced knowledge of computers, including MS Office, electronic mail, clinical information systems and ideally Pubmed, Adobe Pro and CCV software

- Able to work independently with a high degree of organization and attention to detail
- Able to take initiative, to meet deadlines, be flexible and work in a fast-paced environment
- Superior problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Highly reliable

**Preferred qualifications**:

- Preferred knowledge and experience with hospital processes and policies, professional licensing bodies and granting agency requirements
- Advanced medical terminology
- Spoken and written French fluency is preferred
