Fresenius Medical Care Canada is currently recruiting for a permanent, full-time Supply Chain Associate, reporting out of our head office in Richmond Hill, Ontario. The position entails the following:
PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
Supports FMCC’s mission, vision, core values and customer service philosophy. Adheres to the FMCC Compliance Program, including following all regulatory and division/company policy requirements.
Under the direction of the Director of Supply Chain, this individual will support and assist the supply chain team in procuring, transporting, customs clearing and controlling inventory. More specifically, the incumbent will be responsible for supporting Supply Chain associates with collection and distribution of in-bound documentation, customs clearance, review and verification of freight invoices including managing relationship and providing support to third party auditing company and carriers.
DUTIES / ACTIVITIES:
CUSTOMER SERVICE:
- Responsible for driving the FMCC culture through values and customer service standards.
- Accountable for outstanding customer service to all external and internal customers.
- Develops and maintains effective relationships through effective and timely communication.
- Takes initiative and action to respond, resolve and follow up regarding customer service issues with all customers in a timely manner.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
1. Manage relationship with third party freight auditor, upload freight rates, investigate invoices the auditing company is not able to process. Revise and provide information for weekly EDI reports and weekly recaps, in order to ensure that freight carriers are paid on time.
2. Verify all custom broker’s invoices, including supporting documents, and contract rates to ensure they are correct. Obtain missing information from customs broker to complete verification process. Allocate costs to correct GL accounts. Submit invoices for approval.
3. Assist in the management of special transportation requirements.
4. Assist in researching and recommending freight carriers for both in-bound (All Canada) and out-bound (Toronto and Third Party Warehouses) freight.
5. Manage any special projects assigned by the Director of Supply Chain and/or VP of Finance
- 6. Assist Planner/Buyer and Inventory Analyst when required including but not limited to, placing PO’s, PO Maintenance, following up on IMF’s, expediting open PO lines and obtaining PODs or tracking shipments.
7. Updating and following up on ASN’s where appropriate.
8. May be required to undertake regular procurement of smaller product lines.
9. Report monthly on inventory counts & adjustments undertaken at each Distribution Centre, with summary of various adjustments (gross and net amounts) made as a result of inventory count, by reason for adjustment. Ensure warehouse managers comment on these adjustments before submitting report to Controller.
10. Report monthly on scrapped and expired inventory to Controller.
11. Develop, maintain, and implement SOP specific to responsibilities.
12. Assists Supply Chain Associates in providing cost estimates and quotes for freight required when FMCC is responding to RFPs and for all special out-bound shipments.
13. Manages 3rd party equipment handlers specifically related to Apple Express and the distribution, collection, and swap of NxStage equipment nationwide.
14. Standard and regular monthly reporting.
15. Other duties that may be assigned.
