The BGC Brantford helps young people to discover, develop and achieve their best potential by engaging them in activities that challenge and guide them to develop healthy minds and bodies. Our programs promote positive outcomes in education, active living, nutrition and mental health.

Duties include offering administrative support across the organization to multiple departments. Some of the administrative tasks may include; welcoming members and guests, answers the telephone & re-directs calls, coordinates front-desk activities, including processing memberships and program registrations, acceptance of fee’s and addressing inquiries relating to programs, data entry and overall administrative support to the organization.

**DURATION/HOURS**:
February - May 26th 2023 (with possibility of extension)

3:15pm - 8:15pm

25 hours per week

Additional hours are available (child care, birthday parties etc.)
- Due to the nature of the Club's business, staff cannot always be confined rigidly to a definite schedule of hours - 'flex' time WILL be required_

**Education**:
Secondary School Graduate and/or Community College; in related field

**Qualifications**:
Current First Aid/CPR

**Experience**:
Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role

Previous experience working with and/or in an environment that services children and youth

**General Duties**
- Effectively manages multiple demands and priorities
- Readily and sensitively manages any conflicts/issues
- Maintain facility and office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
- Excellent organizational skills
- Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Perform ad-hoc administrative duties.
- Process memberships and registrations thoroughly and in a timely manner
- Interact with children and families in a pleasant, positive and professional manner.
- Maintain open communication with parents
- Collection and processing of payments
- Nightly financial closure and reporting requirements
- Conduct monthly product inventory

**Physical Demands**
- There are no heavy physical demands of the position, however the individual is required to sit for long periods of time, stand, bend, reach, squat and twist.

**Working Conditions**
- Position works within a climate controlled facility
- Position is responsible to sit for long periods of time and conduct some work on a computer
- Due to the large number of children & youth serviced the working environment can be extremely loud during peak hours of operation.
- The environment can be fast paced and demanding - position is required to be extremely resourceful, ‘think quick on their feet’, manage multiply tasks and issues, able to prioritize and resolve issues effectively, thoroughly and effectively.

**Supervision**
- The position has no direct supervision responsibilities for children and youth however is responsible to encourage positive behaviour and outcomes and ensure behaviours are appropriate and within the standards and values of the Club
- This position is not responsible for the supervision of any personnel

All employees of BGC Brantford are required to be fully vaccinated (2 dose minimum) against the COVID-19 virus.
