**About this role**
Here's how your role will strengthen our team.
**Your responsibilities**
- Provide guidance to managers and employees on various aspects of HR such as, company policy and provincial legislation interpretation, performance reviews, onboarding and offboarding employees, and employee development
- Resolve conflicts and provide guidance on employee relation matters
- Respond to inquiries relating to benefits coverage and be the primary contact for third-party administrators
- Work with marketing on internal communications relating to benefits and wellness initiatives
- Coordinate the leave of absence process including return-to-work
- Maintain and communicate the company training calendar
- Assist with training registration, record keeping and gathering course feedback
- Ensure compliance with provincial employment standards and adhere to human resources policies and procedures
- Update and maintain the HR Information System data
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR systems and practices
**Your experience and skills**
- Degree or Diploma in Human Resources Management (equivalent experience and qualifications may be considered)
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in an HR Advisory or Generalist role
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
- Exceptional customer service with a passion for learning
- Comfortable working at all levels of an organization
- Exceptional organization and planning skills with a demonstrated ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities effectively with a strong attention to detail
- Demonstrated problem solving, sound judgment and business acumen
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team (including supporting remote client groups)
- Strong proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- CPHR designation an asset
