**The Opportunity**
triOS College Business Technology Healthcare Inc., is actively seeking a **Payroll Specialist** to join our People & Culture team.
**Major Purpose and Objective of the Position**:
The primary purpose of the Payroll Specialist is to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time by preparing and processing the semi-monthly payroll for different divisions of the Company.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Compile payroll data, process, and transmit payroll, using ADP Workforce Now, in an accurate and timely manner, in accordance with established payroll processing calendars, and provincial regulations. Assist managers to ensure accurate time accounting for all employees.

- Complete data entry of new hires.
- Process terminated employees.
- Monitor employee promotions and transfers changes.
- Process annual merits, increases, special, and retroactive calculations.
- Calculate and process final pay for terminated and leave employees.
- Contribute to the development and interpret payroll policies and procedures. Communicate payroll policies and procedures to employees as required.
- Calculate and process final pay for terminated and leave employees.
- Prepare Records of Employment for terminated and leave employees via Service Canada.
- Import employee and employer RRSP contributions semi-monthly via Wealthsimple.
- Set-up wage garnishments and child support payments.
- Resolve all payroll discrepancies, request stop payments and EFTs.
- Run/create/edit reports within WFN payroll database.
- Keep abreast of the payroll processing system and changes in wage/tax laws.
- Prepare and process year-end payroll adjustments.
Other duties as assigned, and which are in the best interests of the College.
**Experience & Requirements**:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Human Resources, Payroll Administration, or Business is preferred.
- Certified Payroll Professional designation is preferred.
- 2-4 years of payroll processing experience, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Have processed payroll for at least 250 employees.
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now is preferred.
- Familiar with payroll software and payroll reports.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
**Start Date**:
The start for the position is **immediate.**
**Location**:
This position will be a **hybrid** role of working on-site at our Mississauga Campus Support Centre and from your home office.
