**Position Summary**:
St. Mary's General Hospital Project Manager functions as an internal consultant to facilitate various change improvement initiatives throughout the organization that are integrated with the Vision and Strategic Directions of the hospital, acting as catalyst for change. This role will be working most closely with the Patient Services team on projects that are intended to develop, enhance or improve clinical operations in the hospital.

**Position Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for the overall project planning and scheduling of assigned projects.
- Manages the development, implementation, evaluation and maintenance of projects and initiatives which are in alignment with established SMGH goals and standards.
- Identify project risks, problems and issues as early as possible; ensure mitigating actions are in place to minimize impact, and elevate to senior management as appropriate relative to severity.
- Prepare and report project budgets and forecasts, and minimize risk through effective management of scope and contract changes.
- Identifies change resistance issues, determines implications and devises mitigation approaches.
- Develops, monitors and is accountable for specific project implementation strategies
- Act as main interface between staff and contractors, on all project matters.
- Adapt communication and interpersonal skills to deal effectively with patients and their families, co-workers, physicians, volunteers and others within our health care community.
- Demonstrate values and a commitment to foster a healthy, supportive work environment dedicated to delivering a high-quality care experience though compassion, innovation and respect.

**Position Requirements**:

- **Masters degree in related area preferred**:

- **Minimum five (5) to seven (7) years practical and related Project Management experience**:

- **Completion of formal training in Project Management and a proven capability to work and collaborate with all levels of the organization.**:

- **Proven experience utilizing Project Management principles.**:

- **Analytical skills including the ability to collect analyze and interpret both qualitative and quantitative data**:

- **Demonstrated ability to positively influence and facilitate change.**:

- **Successfully able to perform their function in accordance with prescribed standards that focuses on the priority of People Safety and the delivery of the highest standard of Quality Care.**:

- **Demonstrate the physical and mental capabilities necessary for proper and efficient performance of the essential duties of the position.**
