The hospitals proudly partner with local academic institutions the University of Waterloo, Conestoga College, McMaster University and Wilfrid Laurier University, and our local innovation sector including Communitech, the Accelerator Centre, Medical Innovation Xchange, and others.We currently have an opportunity for a temporary full-time Project Director, Clinical Transformation – approximately until May 2026, at Grand River & St. Mary’s General Hospitals.How Project Director, Clinical Transformation supports our teams:Reporting to the Director of Operations, Transformation, and Community Integration, this role will lead the implementation of complex clinical transformation projects that enhance care capacity and improve patient access across our regional health system. The Project Director will be instrumental in driving initiatives that strengthen GRH’s capacity to meet growing demand for specialized healthcare services. This includes developing and overseeing project plans, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring sustainable, high-quality care delivery that aligns with GRH’s strategic objectives.The Project Director, Clinical Transformation brings the following:A Master’s degree in a related field is required.Registered and in good standing with a clinical regulatory body – e.g., li>Change Management and Project Management or willingness to undertake these certifications.5+ years of experience in healthcare project management, with demonstrated success in leading clinical or operational transformation projects.Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage stakeholder relationships, and drive complex projects to completion.Strong knowledge of healthcare delivery models, including performance measurement, risk management, and quality improvement.Demonstrated experience in managing operational functions in large complex organizations including program planning, care and service delivery design, implementation, and evaluation.Experience leading professional staff, including coaching, fostering consensus decision-making, and creating collaborative, productive team-based work environment for change initiatives to achieve quality patient care.Demonstrated knowledge of performance measurement, quality improvement and risk management; ability to identify risks, intervene effectively and escalate appropriately.Excellent consultation, facilitation, negotiation, problem solving, consensus building/team building and collaboration skills with an exhibited ability to gain timely consensus and alignment of multiple impacted and interested parties.Effective project management skills, including development of work plans, documentation, project charters, etc.An ability to take a system view and understand the complexity and interdependent nature of patient care processes and the impact and implications of decisions on the quality of patient care or service provision.Grand River Hospital & St. Mary’s General Hospital support our Team Members with: Ongoing training and development opportunities.As part of our commitment to the health and safety of our patients, staff and community from COVID-19, subject to any accommodation required by applicable human rights legislation, Grand River Hospital requires that all staff have received all required doses of a COVID-19 vaccine approved by Health Canada.Grand River Hospital is committed to fair and equitable employment and in our recruitment and selection practices.
