**The salary range for this position is**:
**Recruitment range**:$77,064- $84,968** starting salary **determined by the PEA Collective Agreement.

**Performance range: starting salary to max of $100,235** is available through annual performance increases.
- Job Summary**Mandate**:
Reporting to the Director, Engagement and Learning, the Manager, Access Services and Resource Sharing plays a critical role in the administration and effective management of Access Services (AS) and Resource Sharing (RS) in UVic Libraries.

AS includes all circulation services and public service points within the Mearns-McPherson Library and the Diana M. Priestly Law Library. AS provides point-of-need welcome, services, and support to in-person and remote users of the Libraries.

RS includes Stack Maintenance, ReQuest for Faculty, Distance Learning and Research; the Libraries’ Student Assistant Program. RS ensures effective and prompt management of physical collections and scanning and delivery of requested print and digital materials to library users including Students, Faculty, Staff, and Distance students.

The Manager also oversees the physical management of the spaces and collections of the Law Library.

**Objectives**:

- Oversee the day-to-day operations for AS and RS, directing general circulation of materials to users and resource sharing functions including staffing service points, stacks maintenance, the delivery of requested materials on and off campus, daily accounting processes, mail distribution, and event setups and takedowns.
- Provide and oversee planning, project management, training development, and continuous improvement for AS & RS activities.
- Under the direction of the Director, Engagement and Learning, this role oversee the people management functions of both AS and RS.
- Works collaboratively with staff to ensure that AS and RS meet the changing demands of users in equitable and accessible ways.
- Administers the budgets of AS and RS and, with the Director, develops and implements operational goals for the units.
- Develops projects and objectives for AS and RS and assesses output.
- Participates in operational discussions affecting AS, RS and other matters across the Libraries and Learning and Teaching Support and Innovation divisions to ensure consistent and effective public service.
- Job RequirementsThis position requires a level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline plus 5 years of relevant experience. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.

- Ability to learn new skills and develop effective training plans for staff and colleagues.
