OVERVIEW:
In the role of Account Manager for Industrial key accounts, you will be working with confectioners, bakeries, distillers, and food distributors. You will execute our industrial strategy and develop meaningful relationships with our valued customers. We are always looking for new ways to enhance the customer experience and you will serve a critical role in our evolution. You will report to an experienced leader who believes people are at their best when they feel self-confident in a positive work environment.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO JOIN THE TEAM:
- College Diploma/University degree in Business or related discipline (or relevant experience)
- You have at 7+ years experience in sales
- Experience in the food and agri-food industry is a plus
- Ability to influence at Buyer level and inspire confidence across all areas of the business, both within the company and with customers
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Proven team spirit
- Engaging, driven and dynamic personality
- Computer skills, with a comprehensive knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- You’re a creative problem solver that has a consistent track record of taking initiative
- Proactively search for process improvements

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Partner cross functionally to address any customer issues in a timely fashion
- Deliver profit, net revenue, and volume targets for your accounts
- Build account plans
- Identify and develop new business opportunities
- Lead the negotiation of contracts and close agreements to maximize profits
- Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts
- Develop a proficiency in sugar market dynamics
- Develop an expert level understanding of our product portfolio
- Manage commodity contracts
- Build volume and revenue forecasts
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Located in South Etobicoke office (New Toronto).
- Currently Hybrid Home/Office: 2-3 days in office or more frequently if required.
- ~10-15% domestic travel required to participate in customer visits/team meetings and collaborate with manufacturing locations.
- Occasional international travel, a valid passport is required.
THE BUSINESS:
We go to market with a best-in-class portfolio of portfolio of natural sweetener products, in two major business units: Sugar & Maple. This role is related to the Sugar business unit.
Our Sugar Customers: This is our largest and most established business unit where we focus on 2 main domestic B2B/B2C channels: Industrial & Consumer. This can be further segmented into retailers, confectioners, bakeries, distillers, and food distributors. As a critical ingredient within the Canadian food supply chain, our customers rely on Lantic to consistently provide quality sugar products day-in and day-out. We also have a strong Export business where we ship sugar and blends to established partners in various international markets.
Our Sugar Brands: Our two major sugar brands are Lantic (East) & Rogers (West) and include granulated (regular and organic), brown, icing, liquid, cubed sugars, specialty syrups, stevia, agave, organic coconut sugar, maple sugar/flakes and other dry blends.
