Franchise/operations Manager

Reports directly to the CEO. Will play a lead role in overseeing the day to operations of the existing SimplySmart child care centres, along with overseeing new franchise locations. Liaise with the Director to make decisions for operational activities and set strategic goals. Serve as a company representative in all areas both at work and at events. Responsible for all activities in the franchise organization. Significantly contribute to the success of the business by using creativity, innovation and energy to improve processes while using available resources.

**Responsibilities**
- Follow up with perspective franchisees and establish a contact strategy
- Create and edit Operations Manual for franchisees alongside the CEO
- Formalize and execute the marketing plan strategy
- Drive new site launches as required with the CEO
- Interface with Ministry and Public Health as required
- Create, maintain and coordinate construction WBS by sites
- Create and maintain a list of materials needed by classroom
- Coordinate items requested by the CEO as needed
- Assist in site set up with equipment, toys, etc.
- Attend community events to promote centres and build the brand
- Review and maintain Policies and Procedures
- Provide training and workshops for staff
- Professionally handle all parent concerns or complaints
- Collect and collate weekly update and provide a summary to the CEO
- Participate in educational opportunities and professional development
- Liaise with franchisees on all Ministry inspection and provide summary to CEO
- Complete all phone screen interviews for every location and complete a follow up phone call after in-person interview is complete.
- Reaching out to families after 30 days to evaluate their satisfaction with SimplySmart
- Creating new and innovative programs from idea to launch.

**QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS**
- Minimum : Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent.
- 3 - 5 years of management experience in a similar position.
- Must speak fluent English.
- Other languages an asset.
- Excellent Mathematical skills, including basic math, budgeting, profit / loss concepts, percentages, and variances are utilized frequently.
- Strong reading and writing abilities are required.
- Problem solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities are used often.
- May be required to work nights, weekends, and / or holidays during events and new site launches.
- Demonstrated ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the company, and the SimplySmart brand.

**Salary**: $55,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
