**Summary**

The Liberal Party of Canada is seeking a Communications Products and Media Relations Lead to join a dedicated team supporting Justin Trudeau and our Liberal team’s work to keep Canada moving forward.

This role will provide key support to our cross-channel communications efforts - supporting media relations, issues management, events, and communications products and projects across our movement.

What you’ll be doing
- Plan, develop and execute key communications products for various platforms and audiences.
- Support the delivery of a clear message through a wide variety of channels reaching Canadians.
- Assist with the review process for products from across the party.
- Prepare and distribute internal communications products and media materials.
- Help develop and support communications products for internal stakeholders and departments/teams within the LPC.
- Support LPC media relations and communications planning.
- Prepare and track responses to media inquiries, respond to journalists, and monitor media reporting.
- Manage the production of materials supporting Liberal communications for key national outreach opportunities, initiatives and events.
- Support media and communications requirements at major Liberal events (virtual and in-person).
- Work in an environment with shifting priorities and operational objectives.
- May be required to work unusual hours and periods at an accelerated pace, often balancing short deadlines and competing priorities.

You’ll need to have
- Ability to communicate strongly in both of Canada’s official languages.
- Strong working knowledge of current events and Canadian politics.
- Proficiency as a writer, long and short form, particularly press releases, advisories, speeches, and other media materials.
- Resourcefulness and strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability and judgment to make quick decisions.
- Excel at building consensus in a multi-stakeholder team environment.
- Proven experience in a political, public relations, digital engagement or related communications capacity is a strong asset.
- Strong presentation and communication skills, and experience with volunteer facilitation.
- Keen sense of personal organization and time management, working both individually and collaboratively.
- Availability evenings and weekends.
