Industrial Technician
Job Summary: The Industrial Technician is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of packline machinery. This position ensures all equipment operates efficiently and safely, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity across farm operations. The Industrial Technician will work closely with the maintenance team to maintain equipment, identify opportunities for improvement, and ensure safety standards are met. This role requires an individual who exemplifies the company values of humble, driven, and solutions oriented.
Humble - Employees that are team players and are respectful of others and the job at hand. Great team players lack excessive ego or concerns about status. Humble employees are quick to point out contributions of others and slow to seek attention of their own.
Driven - Employees who are motivated and focused on self improvement. Driven or hungry employees are always looking for more. More things to do, learn, and take responsibility for. They never have to be pushed by a manager to work harder because they are self-motivated and diligent.
Solutions Oriented - Employees who focus on solving, and preventing problems from occurring, not just identifying them. This is equal parts of problems with systems and processes and the common sense that an employee has about people. They are aware, act appropriately, ask good questions, and listen to understand.
Role and Accountability:
- Perform regular preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on packline machinery, and related systems.
- Repair and replace defective parts, components, and systems on various industrial equipment.
- Respond promptly to breakdowns, ensuring mínimal downtime and quick resolution.
- Perform diagnostics to identify issues and implement solutions to restore equipment functionality.
- Work closely with the maintenance team to plan and schedule repairs and maintenance activities to reduce operational disruptions.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections in the maintenance management system.
- Adhere to health, safety, and environmental guidelines during all maintenance tasks.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, providing feedback on process or equipment enhancements.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure equipment meets operational needs and specifications.
- Support training and development of junior team members in maintenance procedures.
- Ensure compliance with equipment manuals and operational procedures to ensure quality and consistency.
- Utilize Microsoft To-Do for task tracking and reminders to ensure efficient organization and completion of daily tasks, promoting productivity and accountability within the Department.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including senior leadership, to address challenges, identify actionable solutions, and align financial strategies with overall organizational objectives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Proven experience as an industrial technician, maintenance technician, or similar role, with specific experience in packlines and farm shop equipment.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills with the ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Familiarity with preventative maintenance procedures and practices.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications or an associate degree in industrial maintenance, mechanical engineering, or related field preferred.
