Corporate Services for the Natural Resource Ministries (CSNR) serves the six natural resource ministries (Agriculture and Food; Energy, Mines and Low Carbon Innovation; Environment and Climate Change Strategy; Forests; Indigenous Relations and Reconciliation; and Water, Land and Resource Stewardship).
CSNR is a unique corporate services organization providing services for approximately 7,000 natural resource ministry employees in over 100 locations throughout the province. These services include all aspects of financial operations and planning, budget management, compliance and procurement, facilities, fleet and assets, corporate security and strategic human resources.

The Manager, Budgets and Financial Services provides leadership and expertise to a ministry in preparing the ministry’s annual budget, reporting and analysis of performance. The position plans and coordinates the ministry’s budgeting function that involves overseeing all annual budgeting activities. Ensures effective integration of the strategic planning and budget planning processes, transparent reporting of performance and fiscal results, and assesses and makes recommendations on the financial implications of new initiatives. Provides financial guidance and advice to senior ministry executive.

Job Requirements:
- University degree in economics, business or public administration or a relevant discipline plus 2 years recent related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
Recent related experience must include:
- Financial management
- Budget development
- Business and strategic planning
- Managerial experience
- Experience in financial planning, goal setting, resource allocation and shared services delivery.
Preference may be given to applicants with:
- Professional Accounting Designation (CPA).
- Experience writing and reviewing Treasury Board submissions.
- Experience in the supervision of staff, performance management and workload planning.
