The Interface Team plays a crucial role in maintaining strong relationships between the MCFD and external oversight agencies, such as the Representative for Children and Youth and the Ombudsperson. This small, collaborative team is responsible for coordinating responses to inquiries and recommendations, ensuring transparency and accountability across the ministry. We are committed to fostering an inclusive environment where diverse perspectives are valued, and where every team member contributes to driving meaningful change.
**The Role**
The Manager of the Interface Team strengthens relationships between MCFD and key oversight bodies, and contributes to the ministry’s quality improvement by coordinating responses related to reports and recommendations of oversight bodies. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with leaders across the ministry and external partners while gaining valuable insights into MCFD services and the work of oversight bodies. This position contributes to making positive change for children, youth and families as well as to the ministry’s public accountability.
**Qualifications**:
**Education and Experience Requirements**
- Bachelor’s Degree in public administration or a social science field, such as Social Work, Psychology, Child and Youth Care, or Sociology.
- Minimum of six (6) months experience in a supervisory/management position or leading project teams.
- Minimum of one (1) year of work experience that required knowledge of the organizational structure, programs and initiatives of the Ministry of Children and Family Development.
- Experience in project management.
- Experience developing and maintaining working relationships and resolving problems with external partners.
- Experience briefing and advising senior government officials.
Preference may be given to applicants with:
- One (1) year of experience in a supervision/management position.
