The Workforce Relations Division provides strategic labour relations advice and expertise to government, the negotiation of collective agreements, contract administration, job evaluation, benefits administration, public sector compensation coordination, and research and consultative services.

The Total Rewards Branch supports the strategic coordination and implementation of classification and compensation programs within the government.

Qualifications:
**Essential**:

- Post-secondary secondary degree in Human Resources, Actuarial Science or a related discipline. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered
- Knowledge of the principles, concepts and practices of pension and benefit plan administration, including the relevant acts, legislation and guidelines related to pension and benefit plans
- Professional progressive experience with compensation, benefits or pension programs
- Experience performing research and qualitative and quantitative analysis with the ability to translate data into meaningful recommendations and reports
- Effective leadership skills with experience fostering employee diversity, development and performance, including ability to coach and mentor
- Experience supporting organizational changes with hope and optimism; and fostering a culture of innovation, risk taking and resiliency
- Effective interpersonal skills with experience establishing collaborative, client-focused relationships with diverse stakeholders
- Demonstrated self-efficacy with the ability to prioritize competing demands, manage multiple projects simultaneously and effectively achieve results
- Effective critical thinking and problem solving skills with experience demonstrating political acumen when providing advice on complex and sensitive issues
- Excellent verbal communication skills with experience preparing and presenting materials to various stakeholders
- Excellent written communication skills

**Desired**:

- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in French

**Duties**:
The position is responsible for aligning pension and benefits programs with government’s overall reward and talent strategy in consideration of cost effectiveness, employee engagement, and continuous improvement. The position provides leadership and is responsible for the performance and development of staff involved in benefits and pension related policy and financial administration.
