_The _**Pension & Benefit Member Services **_department is the single point of contact for our_ _92,000 Plan members._

We are looking for a highly motivated pension professional who wants to move to the next step in their career.

HEB Manitoba is looking for a _Pension Analyst _to become part of our professional team. This experienced group is responsible for by developing and delivering required pension and benefit training and providing expert level pension knowledge and support within the organization.

You are committed to excellence in member serviceand want to make meaningful contributions by helping resolve complex pension scenarios and mentoring junior Pension staff.
- In your first three months as a Pension Analyst, you will :_
- Enhance your knowledge of HEB Manitoba’s Plan documents and procedures.
- Build working relationships with internal and external partners including HEB Manitoba’s legal and actuarial advisors.
- Your responsibilities will increase to include:_
- Expanding and delivering training for Pension staff.
- Handling unique and complex calculations that may have legal and/or complex actuarial implications.
- Developing new processes and procedures.
- Proactively delivering support and service to our members and other stakeholders.

**Qualifications for Your Success**:

- **Experience & Education**_
- A minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in a pension role. Completion of a post-secondary degree or diploma in Business Administration, Commerce, Actuarial Science, Mathematics or related field.
- Related post-secondary degree or diploma and PPAC designation.
- Course work towards the CEBS designation with a completion date within 2 years of securing the role
- *An equivalent of education and experience may be considered_
- In-depth knowledge of _The Pension Benefits Act_, Manitoba, the _Income Tax Act_, and contractual provisions of pension and benefits plans.
- **Knowledge, Competencies & Skills**_
- Exceptional mathematical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to coach and mentor junior staff.
- Demonstrated written, verbal and presentation skills.
- Ability to interpret relevant legislation and understand the impacts between cross departmental contracts and rules.
- Experience dealing with complex and challenging pension scenarios.
- Demonstrated commitment to accuracy.
