Surrey, Canada Peninsula Property Management Full time

Established Residential Property Management Company in South Surrey, with over 30 years of providing excellent customer service, is currently recruiting a full-time Accounting Administrative Assistant to join our team.

The Accounting Administrative Assistant will be a member of the Accounting Team and reporting to the Financial Controller and Managing Broker. This position also works with other departments, rental buildings, and contractors to provide excellent customer service to our clients.

Responsibilities consist of, but are not limited, to:

- Accurately posting of vendor invoices and processing of rental payments, 10-day notices, budgets to assist Accounting Department.
- Participates in meetings for planning, budgeting, for building projects and requirements.
- Responsible for administrative role (letters) in dealing with the tenant complaints and issues caused by tenant(s) or their guests (letters approved by Property Manager) that may have a negative effect on other tenants, or the building.
- Cross-training for utility, property taxes, insurance, and strata payments and collection, when applicable.
- Cross-training for performing journal entries and creating cheques for security deposit refunds.
- Cross-training for processing of cheques and statements for Placement Management Services.
- Respond to internal and external Account Payable inquiries.
- Provide support to Accounting Administrators and Financial Controller (Interim).

Qualifications and Experience:

- Strong accounting knowledge with post-secondary education.
- 2-3 years of accounting experience preferred.
- Proficient English communication skills, both written and oral.
- Strong knowledge of Excel
- Ability to work independently with confidence, and a take charge attitude.
- Ability to multi-task, detail oriented with accuracy, and strong organizational skills.
- Able to collaborate and share ideas with others in team environment with a professional attitude.

**Hours: Full-time (35-hour work week) Monday-Friday 9AM-4:30PM.**

**Compensation: $40,000 per annum**

**Salary**: $40,000.00 per year
