Accounting and Payroll Administrator

Surrey, Canada AMS Tax & Accounting Ltd Full time

Responsibilities:

- Process payroll for employees accurately and on time of all client's corporations
- Maintain employee records and ensure data integrity
- Calculate and process deductions, taxes, and garnishments
- Perform Bookkeeping duties, adjusting journal entries, year end account reconciliations.
- Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees, government authorities and
shareholders.
- Stay up-to-date with payroll laws and regulations
- Prepare GST, PST returns and provide administration duties as needed

**Skills**:

- Proficiency in QuickBooks, CaseWare and other accounting software
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes and procedures
- Strong payroll and accounting knowledge
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills to interact with CRA, employees and management
- Previous experience as a payroll administrator or clerk is preferred**Salary**: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Surrey, BC V3R 4A9: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
