The Office of the Dean provides leadership in academic programming and services to the campus, ensuring a positive and academically responsive environment to change. Within the broader University community, theVice-Principal Academic & Dean represents the policies and points of view of U of T Scarborough, and makes independent judgments on University matters. **Your opportunity**:
Under the direct supervision of the Student Conduct & Academic Integrity Officer, the incumbent will provide a range of confidential administrative support with respect to academic discipline, student academic misconduct and integrity matters. They will be responsible for developing and delivering workshops/seminars promoting and advancing the mission of the Academic Integrity Office by educating faculty, staff, and students on issues related to academic integrity, by acting as a resource to academic departments for information about the process involved in academic offence cases, and by facilitating the process to handle all allegations of undergraduate academic misconduct.

This position will also be the on-site lead for all events and workshops/seminars.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Investigating and reporting on academic related non-compliance issues
- Coordinating meeting schedules, agendas, materials, action and follow-up items
- Preparing draft statistical reports and summaries from data collected
- Developing content for instructional workshops and drafting presentation materials
- Developing e-learning modules and online assessments using existing software for instructional purposes
- Delivering presentations to promote programs, opportunities and/or initiatives for instructional purposes and leading seminars and/or workshops
- Providing detailed explanations and demonstrating procedures to students and/or employees
- Advising students on personal and academic issues by probing and providing a range of options and possible consequences

**Essential Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
- Minimum four years related experience in an academic environment that includes developing content and leading workshops/seminars.
- Demonstrated experience developing, coordinating and evaluating programming for staff, faculty and students.
- Demonstrated work experience, familiarity and understanding in matters of student code and governance.
- Must have well-developed written and oral communication and proven presentation skills.
- Must have excellent organization and time management skills with the ability to multitask and meet strict deadlines.
- Must demonstrate good judgment, attention todetail, reliability, accuracy, tact, empathy, and information management skills.
- Familiarity and understanding of academic policies with knowledge of the university’s structure and its departments.
- Working knowledge of FIPPA (Freedom of Information Protection and Privacy Act).
- Ability to deal courteously with faculty, staff, students, applicants and the public from a diverse background.
- Ability to maintain and exhibit cultural sensitivity and handle matters of a sensitive and confidential nature.
- Must be able to identify students under distressand know how to react or refer in an attempt to minimize a potential threat of upset or harm.
