About Toronto Metropolitan University

Situated at the crossroads of intellect and action, Toronto Metropolitan University is undergoing a significant transformation to establish itself as Canada's premier comprehensive innovation institution. Central to this journey is the integration of equity, diversity, and inclusion as essential components of our institutional ethos. Our current frameworks highlight these as core values, and we strive to embed them in all our endeavors.

We invite individuals who have shown a commitment to promoting the principles of equity, diversity, and inclusion to help us enhance our capacity for diversity in its broadest form. Furthermore, to address the historical disadvantages in employment across Canada, we encourage applications from individuals belonging to groups that have faced systemic barriers, including First Nations, Metis and Inuit peoples, Indigenous peoples of North America, racialized individuals, persons with disabilities, and those who identify as women and/or 2SLGBTQ+. It is important to note that while all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply, priority will be given to applications from Canadians and permanent residents.

This position is part of Student Life & Learning Support (SLLS) programming. SLLS encompasses a diverse array of support services, including the Tri-Mentoring Program, TMU Leadership Program, International Student Support, Orientation & Campus Engagement, and Learning Support (which includes Math Support, Writing & Language Support, Graduate Student Support, and Study Skills & Transition Support). We create opportunities for students to take charge of their TMU experience, fostering their growth as socially, civically, and academically engaged members of their communities.

The ideal candidate will be dedicated to the values of equity, diversity, and inclusion as they pertain to the varied student experiences at TMU, and will provide exemplary service to students and the broader community.

Confidentiality regarding student, staff, and other sensitive information is paramount.
