**ASST. PROJECT MANAGER**

**Summary**:
To provide management oversight through all phases of the construction project, including employees, subcontractors, materials and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being followed, and work is proceeding with quality, on schedule, and within budget.
- Project Team - Site Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, Project Coordinator
- Site Safety - working with CSO

**Responsibilities**:

- Issue and manage Request for Information (RFI’s), Submittals, and Change Orders
- Review and coordinate shop drawings
- Assist with tendering, quantity take-offs, and tender analysis
- Review documents, project drawings, contracts, and specifications in detail and inform the appropriate team about potential issues or conflicts
- Control project documents
- Prepare contracts and confidently negotiate revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements.
- Responsible for the proper administration of construction contracts and for obtaining all necessary permits and licenses
- Supervise site superintendents, reviews their reports, check on any reported difficulties, and correct any safety violations or other reported deficiencies
- Track and control construction schedule and associated costs to achieve completion of projects within the time and budget allocated
- Report to owner, president, and manager about progress and any necessary modifications of plans or specifications. Plan, implement, track and close-out / turnover of construction projects.
- Manage day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of multiple construction projects
- Proactively identify changes in project scope and ensure appropriate measures are taken
- Liaise with the project team, clients, consultants, and sub-contractors
- Train and mentor Project Coordinators

**Knowledge, Skills, and abilities**:

- Post-secondary education in Construction
- Strong construction design abilities
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong negotiating skills
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and Adobe Acrobat Software
- Familiarity with dispute resolution
- Financial and Job costing knowledge
- Basic estimating skills
- Ability to work under pressure and coordinate numerous activities and groups of people to achieve maximum efficiency

**Salary**: $90,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
