Join our team within the Services division in Canada as an **Assistant Project Manager** to help us take Sulzer Pumps (Canada) Inc. to the next level.

**Summary**:
Sulzer Pumps is seeking a full-time **Assistant Project Manager **for our Burnaby, BC facility. Within your role, you will support the Project Manager with successful full cycle completion of assigned projects; from receipt of order, confirmation of shipment, through to receipt of payment in full from the customers. As an integral member of the team, you will ensure customers receive the best service possible, through effective communication, processing of orders, and the coordination of involved departments to deliver quality products, on time, in compliance to customer specifications and company policies and procedures. The Assistant Project Manager will function independently with direction and guidance from the Department Manager.

**Your main tasks and responsibilities**:

- Assists Project Manager with order package maintenance
- Assists Project Manager with execution of changes to orders
- Responsible for administrative function of documentation submittal to customers
- As assigned, will act as central contact for client for all aspects of an order. Ensures expeditious communication with customer on order changes, status updates, and problems.
- Ensures on-time delivery of hardware and software
- Insures pump documentation is issued to affected departments in a timely manner
- Prepares expediting reports and interfaces with internal and external customers
- Assists with A/R collections from customers
- Assists Project Manager with monthly forecasting of order closeout margin
- Assists with hosting/coordinating customer visits for witness tests, plant tours, etc.
- Assist the PM Leader with Process Improvement tasks
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**To succeed in this role, you will need**:

- 2-3+ years of Project Management experience in a manufacturing setting preferred
- Experience with pump manufacturing and direct tendering, and ability to understand financial aspects to maximize profits is an asset
- Experience with engineered products, quality principles, and related technical knowledge an asset
- Detail oriented with high attention to detail and accuracy; ability to work to tight timelines
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, including strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work with internal and external customers, under demanding conditions
- Demonstrated computer proficiency; Experience with Microsoft Office Products is required, with SAP experience preferred.
