Provides expertise, coordination and support in the development, revision, approval and implementation of policies and policy-related documents. An example of 'expertise' would be identifying how changes to legislation will impact policy/practice within Covenant Health. Provides clarity and consistency for Executive Sponsors and Policy Leads regarding the process and supporting materials available. Identifies resources that would preclude the development of proposed policy document (e.g. approved text books, the KRS, CKCM). Where possible, identifies potential risks (e.g. conflict with work contracts, or non-compliance with Patient Safety initiatives, or Accreditation Canada standards). Identifies content experts and key stakeholders and validates that these individuals have been included in the development and review process. Facilitates and manages stakeholder feedback. Provides Covenant Health with document management and storage of all policies, practice support documents and historical legacy of decisions. Manages, administers and provides high quality support to the Covenant Health PGC including meeting planning, management and follow-up, liaising with Chair to prepare agendas, and providing advice and support as appropriate. Participates in opportunities to enhance staff knowledge with regard to policy and procedure access and use. Answer queries from individual staff, sites and committees (eg. Covenant Health Legal Advisor, etc.) and other health care institutes regarding current and historical policies/ procedures.

**Required Qualifications**:
Undergraduate degree in health sciences or related field required; equivalent experience may be considered, health sector or governance experience required. Minimum 3 years policy and procedure experience required. Strong computer skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to communicate and interact effectively with all healthcare disciplines. Ability to develop and maintain accurate file and retrieval system. Demonstrated abilities in advanced technical report preparation and writing. Ability to engage professionally with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. Thorough understanding of legislation related to health care. Good organizational skills; able to adapt and respond to a busy and varied workload and manage multiple competing priorities. Ability to work to deadlines and targets. Positive attitude and team player who can support, contribute and actively participate in projects. Attention to detail and drive to deliver high quality and accurate work. Must demonstrate compassion, respect, collaboration, social justice, integrity and stewardship to align with Covenant Health values.

**Additional Required Qualifications**:
Ability to operate related equipment and excellent proficiency in the use of computer software such as Microsoft Word, SharePoint, Excel, and PowerPoint. Must be able to work independently and manage ambiguity. Travel is required between Covenant Health sites across the province.

**Preferred Qualifications**:
A Project Management certificate or PMP equivalent.
