Fronting Claims Examiner - Toronto

**Accountabilities**:

- Manage a portfolio of subscription and fronted claims (including casualty, property, specialty lines) including oversight of reporting, notification, reinsurance, investigation, evaluation, case reserving settlement and file closure.
- Ensure claims are adjudicated according to internal policies and procedures.
- Manage relationships with and ensure appropriate handling by external TPA’s, adjusters and counsel.
- Regularly liaise with reinsurance partners on claims development and instructions.
- Audit claim files to ensure customer and service standards are met.
- Ensure all cases are clearly documented and meet regulatory requirements.
- Identify process improvement needs and recommend changes to policies or procedures to improve quality service and competitiveness.

**Qualifications**:

- 5+ years of commercial casualty claims experience
- A college diploma or a university degree is an asset.
- Preferred experience includes work in a claims department. Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation preferred.
- Knowledge of fronting models, TPA agreements and reinsurance reporting preferred.
- Claims audit experience an asset.
- Related experience in reinsurance, adjusting, bordereaux analysis and reporting an asset.
- Have a strong ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- A critical thinker when it comes to approaching complex problems in time-sensitive situations and with mínimal supervision.
- Are a skilled communicator, which allows you to foster favorable business relationships.
- Have a keen ability to listen to others with the goal of gathering information, allowing you to efficiently evaluate a situation.
