HealthLinkBC brings together recognized health information services including: Nursing Services, Pharmacist Services, Dietitian & Physical Activity Services, and an online and by-phone navigation service to help the citizens of BC and the Yukon find health resources and facilities.

HLBC works effectively and efficiently to deliver on Ministry of Health’s strategic plan. HLBC also works collaboratively with others such as Health Authorities, the Doctors of BC, and Shared Services organizations towards improving services for our client base; which includes the citizens of British Columbia and the Yukon.

The NS management team oversees a team of >160 PHSA Registered Nurses within a budget of almost 13 M. The NS management team is responsible for providing nursing services to HLBC under a complex matrix agreement with the Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA). This position requires knowledge and expertise in managing contracted nursing service deliverables; performance and relationship management in a unionized environment; information management and reporting; service and change documentation; client data management and transfer, service contract interpretation and continual quality improvement. The Manager is also responsible for governance and oversight of overall organizational areas such as quality & safety, after-hours supervision including on-call coverage and organizational education.

The Manager, Nursing Services (NS) reports to the Director, NS and applies an understanding of HLBC’s operations as well as comprehensive knowledge of both Public Service Association (PSA) and PHSA policies, collective and component agreements to manage the provision of services within the position’s area of responsibility (24/7 staff rotation planning and scheduling aligning to budget, attendance wellness and management, disability case management, medical accommodations, and workplace health and safety).

This position is also responsible for the direction of the NS support teams and implementation of several HLBC initiatives and programs designed to support the management team at HLBC. This position strives to increase efficiencies and enhance the services provided by HLBC NS by participating in strategic program development, design and administration of programs and services both internal and external to HLBC.

This position is responsible for the direction of the NS team which includes >30 Nurse direct reports and implementation of several NS initiatives and programs designed to support the management team at HLBC.

**Job Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Health Sciences, or Business Administration; or an equivalent combination of education and **related experience**.
- **Related experience must include each of the following**:

- Minimum of 3 years experience in a progressive leadership role in multidisciplinary service delivery operations.
- Experience working collaboratively with multiple stakeholder groups and leading organizational change in a unionized environment.
- Experience with strategic and operational planning initiatives.

**Preference may be given to applicants with the following**:

- Experience in project and program management.
