The Mental Health and Addictions Programs Branch within the Ministry of Health is seeking a collaborative and motivated leader to manage the Supportive Housing Unit, provide stewardship over directly funded programs, and oversee policy and program development to improve community housing initiatives.

**Our team**:
The Mental Health and Addiction Programs Branch (MHAPB) leads supportive housing policy, and program design, and provides funding and stewardship for rent supplements and specialized supportive housing programs. The Branch also provides program oversight and liaison for the provincial forensic mental health system, advises government on mental health and justice policy, and provides policy and program oversight and stewardship of the community child and youth mental health program.

**What can I expect to do in this role?**:
**In this role, you will**:

- **Lead and manage a team of professionals in the policy and program development, design and implementation of program policy initiatives related to housing and community support.**
- **Provide expertise and advice to senior management and staff on policy options, risk, and issues management strategies, including support for alignment with legislation and organizational objectives.**
- **Lead and direct stakeholder relations and consensus building in developing, promoting and delivering policies/programs that support ministry strategies and goals.**
- **Evaluate and identify opportunities for new and/or improvements to provincial policies and programs.**
- **Provide management oversight and stewardship of directly funded rent supplements and specialized supportive housing programs.**
- **Lead, support, and promote a productive and supportive team environment while fostering a culture of diversity, inclusion and service excellence.**
- **Build organizational capacity through effective human resources development by authorizing recruitment activities, labour relations management, talent management, organizational design and succession planning.**
