The Position
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting professional to join our growing Finance & Administration team
**Responsibilities**:
- Reporting to the Manager, Finance & Administration, you will support the daily, monthly and year-end operations of the Finance & Administration team
- Assist with process improvement, strategy and help with special projects, assignments and other duties as assigned
- Process vendor invoices for payment from purchase orders through to issuance and mailing of cheques (and ETF).
- Ensure all financial transactions have the appropriate authorizations, general ledger account distribution and tax calculations and follow Endeavour's internal controls
- Ensure invoices are paid on schedule and in accordance with vendor terms and company cheque run policies
- Reconcile contracts, sales orders and vendor statements by analyzing transactions and researching discrepancies and follow up in a timely manner with appropriate parties
- Perform a variety of accounts receivable functions such as bank deposits, generating accounts receivable invoices and posting customer payments
- Process purchasing documents such as Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders, ensuring compliance with Endeavour's corporate policies and procedures
- Provide support to team members as required and assist various departments with financial inquiries
- Perform other general finance and administrative duties as required
**Requirements**:
- Degree or diploma in Accounting, Business or Finance
- 3 - 5 years' accounting experience, with exposure to accounting related functions
- Ability to effectively prioritize activities and perform duties with mínimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Proven organizational skills and the ability to perform responsibilities with a high level of accuracy and thoroughness
- Solid interpersonal skills, working effectively with internal and external customers
- Demonstrated problem solving and financial analysis abilities, e.g., identification, research and recommendation etc.
- Professional business English verbal and written communication skills
- Reliable, self-motivated and the ability to maintain a positive attitude; flexible regarding change in work requirements
Nice to have
- Experience with Dynamics GP / Great Plains is considered a strong asset
- Present enrolment towards completion of a professional accounting designation
