**Shift Works 8.30 am to 4.30 pm 3 days per week, 12 PM to 8 PM 2 days per week**

The Operations Manager, supports the Senior Manager by overseeing the daily operational needs of the Community Connections, SWIS and related programs (YESS, etc.) such as ensuring adequate staffing, assigning or reassigning work, managing employee absences, training and assessing new staff, coaching staff, troubleshooting issues, monitoring expenses and preparing reports.

**Duties & Responsibilities**

Overseeing Staff Activities (40%)
- Providing daily support to staff in Community Connections, SWIS and related programs
- Creating and revising staff schedules and being first point of contact for staff absences & concerns
- Resolving staff concerns or escalating issues to the Senior Manager, as needed
- Providing daily updates to staff, communicating staff assignments, reassigning work due to absences
- Onboarding/training new staff and creating operational training plans and materials
- Overseeing volunteer activities and training
- Assessing the work of staff and providing feedback to the Senior Manager

Overseeing General Operations (40%)
- Overseeing the delivery of individual programs within the function, ensuring targets such as client participation, etc., set by the Sr. Manager are met
- Being first point of contact for clients or partners enquiries/concerns
- Supporting event/activity programming
- Reviewing event/activity project plans and budgets
- Reviewing and signing invoices for accuracy, monitoring expenses and event/activity budgets
- Resolving client concerns or escalating issues to the Senior Manager as needed
- Preparing annual, quarterly, monthly reports for review by the Senior Manager

Other Duties (20%):

- Acting as back up for the Senior Manager as needed
- Completing all mandated training and attending all staff meetings and workshops
- Providing input into program, proposal and organizational development as requested

**Qualifications**
- The minimum level of education required is a bachelor’s level degree in social work, social studies, arts, humanities, business, or related field
- Minimum of three years of experience provided services to newcomers requiring knowledge of social services and resources available in the community.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in projects or other work-related activities
- Advanced level of interpersonal skills, empathy, and ability to develop trusting working relationships with staff
- Advanced level of ability in MS Office, meeting software and use of databases
- Advance to intermediate level in MS Office and databases
- Ability to communicate effectively, both in written and verbal formats, and when interacting with both individuals and groups
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, CCLC staff, and other partners, and establish cooperative relationships across various stakeholders
- Ability to provide trauma and violence informed care
- Ability to stay organized and prioritize work in a high volume, and in a deadline-oriented environment
- Ability to work with individuals and groups from diverse cultural backgrounds and commitment to inclusion
- Ability to complete a satisfactory Vulnerable Persons Police Check
- Possess a valid driver's license, a clean driving abstract, and a vehicle is required
