**Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:
- Proactively identify and pursue sales opportunities within the forestry, mining and other key heavy industry markets.
- Collaborate with the CEO and General Manager to set quotas, implement sales action plans, and monitor trends for new product and services development.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts, budgets and prospect reports.
- Conduct market research to identify potential clients, key decision-makers and new markets.
- Develop and foster new, continual and ongoing relationships through effective communication and follow-up.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (repair team, manufacturing team, engineering, marketing team) to tailor product and service offerings to client needs and create relevant, engaging and strategic sales material.
- Support product sales and margin optimization through business segmentation.
- Initiate direct sales activities with existing customers and new prospects.
- Ensure feedback from customer issues are addressed to implement solutions to recurring problems.
- Develop regular call schedules and close relationships with customer staff at all levels.
- Provide competitive analysis reporting and create ‘unfair advantages’ for our company.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote company products and services.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, contracts and proposals.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements.
- Participate in promotions, new product launches and new marketing initiatives.
- Become involved with appropriate professional associations and affiliations to build customer networks and relationships.
**Qualifications**:
- Preference for a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering or a related field. Depth of experience will be evaluated.
- A strong sales orientation is required, with preference given to those with 5 - 7 years of experience in the mining/forestry/industrial industry.
- Knowledge of the mining and forestry industries and markets in Northern Ontario.
- Self-motivated with an innate drive to proactively achieve results.
- Naturally sees opportunities and maintains determination in the face of rejection without losing motivation.
- Leverages innovative, creative, outside-of-the-box thinking to develop new ways to engage prospects, reach sales goals, and set the company apart from the competition.
- Radiates enthusiasm that is contagious, making potential clients eager to listen and learn more and inspiring the team to step out of their comfort zones.
- Proven track record of success in sales and the eagerness to adopt a learner mindset to stay ahead of industry trends and aggressively pursue sales, turning setbacks into stepping stones.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully prospect, pitch, and close deals in a competitive environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
- Being social media savvy is an asset: It is a bonus if you’re competent with platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and beyond and you have a strong social media presence.
- Must be computer literate and able to demonstrate proficiency in CRM software (HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite.
**Work Lifestyle**:This position is for an entrepreneurial spirit. It may require you to work onsite and remotely. Travel, mostly in Northern Ontario, is required to establish and maintain relationships throughout our region.
