**LEAD HAND - WELDING (AFT Shift)**

**4-Day week - Mon-Thu - 4:30PM - 3:00AM**

Responsibilities shall include the supervision and leadership of several shop floor employees, maintaining product quality, safety, working with supervisor and shop floor employees to coordinate production schedules. Other responsibilities will include: the operation of various types of machinery, as well as the troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of machinery, and any other necessary assigned work.

Job duties will include:

- Coordination of production schedules with line supervisor
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the shop floor
- Ensure that work orders are completed in a timely fashion
- Maintain a safe, clean and legally compliant workplace
- Maintain product quality
- Monitor the performance of shop floor employees
- Operate various types of machinery as required
- Troubleshoot, adjust, or perform minor maintenance for any machinery that requires attention
- Other assigned work as required

**Requirements**:

- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience as a Welder
- 2+ years of experience as a front line leader
- Interprovincial CWB tickets or the ability to acquire them within the first three months of work
- Ability to work independently and as a team environment in a busy environment
- Strong teamwork skills
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage employees
- Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
- High level of mechanical aptitude
- Ability to operate various types of machinery
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to create logically ordered objectives
- Excellent manual dexterity
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent basic mathematical skills
