Maple Manor Nursing Home in Tillsonburg ON is looking for a Staff Scheduler to join our team. As Staff Scheduler, you are primarily responsible for ensuring all nursing shifts are effectively covered by preparing and organizing work schedules to make sure that the required / appropriate number of personnel is on duty in every given shift.

**DUTIES**
- Manage and produce nursing staff schedules weekly
- Perform and assist with scheduling using SSC (Staff Schedule Care) software: data entry and hour adjustments, payroll exceptions, roll nursing schedule
- Become the on site “expert” of SSC (Staff Schedule Care) mobile app - assist staff with questions and app functionality
- Perform call-ins as required
- Consult with the Director of Care concerning staffing and scheduling needs
- Keep meticulous attendance records and assist with the progressive disciplinary process if staff members demonstrate excessive absences and/or tardies
- Inform nursing staff of assignments and changes to their schedules
- Receive concerns from nursing staff with regards to scheduling
- Take responsibility for leave requests from employees and general work time-keeping (scheduling)
- Work with Payroll/HR to ensure appropriate employee settlement (New hire paperwork, LOA forms, Status Changes etc.)
- Arranges temporary staffing when necessary
- Assist with onboarding
- Acts as a back up to answer incoming telephone lines and take and relay messages as required
- Performs general clerical duties
- Performs other duties as required

**SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED**
- Successful completion of a recognized Business Administrator or Medical Secretary Program or minimum of 2 years of business administration experience required
- 1 - 2 years scheduling experience
- Advanced software skills are required, software scheduling experience is also an asset (SSC -Staff Schedule Care)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Meticulous records maintenance skills
- Superior telephone manners and strong interpersonal skills
- Strong decision making skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize workflow
- Comfortable working in an office environment
- Punctual and reliable

**ABOUT MAPLE MANOR**

Maple Manor Nursing Home, locally owned and operated, is a long-term care facility located in the downtown core of Tillsonburg Ontario. The home is licensed by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care and is Accredited through the Person-Centred Long Term Care Community Standards of CARF Canada. The Home is a 101-bed, smoke free facility offering private, semi-private and ward accommodations. In addition, Maple Manor has four temporary licenses for Interim Long-Term Care Home beds through the Aging at Home program. These beds provide a location for residents who would otherwise be kept in hospital while awaiting placement into a Long-Term Care facility.

The Home’s philosophy of care is centered on nurturing the human spirit. As such, we pledge to meet the individual needs of the clients using a resident-centered focus. Care and services for the residents are provided holistically such that their physical, spiritual, emotional and intellectual needs are met to the best of our abilities.

Pay: $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.50 per week
