The Sales Specialist will work closely with the Sales and Sales Engineering team to qualify and close new business for the Clinical Reasoning business unit. This role will be responsible for providing industry specific and product expertise to facilitate effective deal closing as well as collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect solutions, demonstrate solutions to high level clients and industry conference attendees, and develop and execute solution strategies for the market.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and manage sales and account management strategies to optimize successful deal closure of verified opportunities as well as efficiently identifying opportunities for contract growth on existing accounts.
- Develop strong relationships with varying levels of the client and maintain deep knowledge of business objectives, vision and goals to determine ROI, identify opportunities and product requirement(s).
- Meet or exceed established sales quotes as well as support Account Executives in developing and advancing a robust sales pipeline.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and demonstrate ROI based on product capabilities that align with client business objectives and goals.
- Provide solutions to complex client technical, business roadblocks, and escalations.
- Facilitate, coordinate and actively participate in regular sales review, end user performance, upcoming requirements and contract negotiations to deliver contract growth.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure clear understanding of client expectations and ensure deliverables are met in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with Partners to extend the reach and drive product adoption.
- Maintain a real-time understanding of the competitive landscape to understand win-based proposals and pricing.
- Rapidly develop and maintain a strong network and deep knowledge of Smile’s products, CQL, market trends and customer environment.
- Support in training content development and peer training on industry knowledge, trends and solutions.
- Participate in and contribute to sales planning status meetings.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 5+ of progressive clinical sales and closing expertise and quota-carrying experience, dealing with long sales cycles and average deal values of $100K or more.
- Post-secondary education in business, technology or a related field of study or comparable related work experience.
- Strong knowledge of clinical content and quality market and industry trends.
- Experience delivering client-focused solutions to meet highly technical customer needs.
- Previously demonstrated experience in consulting with varying levels of the organization including executives.
- Proven creative problem-solving approach with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong negotiating skills, with the ability to prioritize, multi-task and work under pressure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to effectively and efficiently use software including Google Suite, and Salesforce is preferred.
